We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer that thrives in a fast-paced environment to support Army air and missile defense project offices. In this role, you will work directly with Project Office leadership to ensure success by employing rigorous engineering methods and technical expertise. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

You will serve as a technical leader within the project office, responsible for the end-to-end systems engineering lifecycle of assigned systems. This includes requirements definition, architecture design, integration, testing, fielding, and support. The systems engineer collaborates with multi-disciplinary cross-functional teams to ensure systems meet operational requirements and adhere to relevant Army and DoD standards. A key aspect of this role is the development and maintenance of system documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Interface Control Documents, Engineering Change Proposals, and Test Plans.

You will proactively identify technical risks, offers risk mitigation solutions, provides guidance on complex engineering challenges, and supports the evaluation of contractor performance. They are expected to stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in systems engineering, contributing to the continuous improvement of systems and processes.

Required

• ABET accredited engineering degree
• 7-10 years of relevant experience
• 5 years of DoD experience with air and missile defense architecture, military radars, and/or integrated air and missile defense battle management systems
• Experience with DoD Acquisition process
• Some travel
• Must have in-scope DoD Secret security clearance

Desired

• Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
• Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) experience
• Foreign Military Sales (FMS) experience
• Experience testing / fielding DoD systems
