ChristianaCare is seeking aPary-Time Service Assistant III to join our Food and Nutrition Services team at Union Hospital. Schedule: Day Shifts \| Must be available between 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Part-Time Position working 24 hours weekly. Weekend Rotations Required What You'll Do: Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems and handle cash, credit, and dining card transactions. Reconcile cash drawers and sales at the end of each shift. Assist customers courteously and efficiently, ensuring accurate transactions. Maintain and sanitize beverage dispensing machines. Promote daily specials and contribute to customer satisfaction initiatives. Lead and support team members to ensure smooth operations. Follow safety, sanitation, and infection prevention protocols. What You Bring: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in food service or cashiering (6 months preferred). Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to perform basic arithmetic and operate POS systems. A team-oriented mindset and a commitment to excellence. Why ChristianaCare? This position has a starting rate of $18.08 per hour, regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.15 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $22.18 per hour. This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
