What to Expect
Tesla's Digital Product Engineering team is looking for an engineer to spearhead the quality assurance of our end-to-end Used Car Management System.
In this role, you'll build a suite of tools to automate testing and validation for the used car intake platform, trade-in offers, lease return, delivery experience, and used car valuation in the global market. These features directly accelerate system design and enhance product engagement, increasing Tesla's used car market.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of software products usingsystem integration, functional, regression and API testing
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using modern test automation tools such as Selenium and Python
- Collaborate with product teams, engineers, and used car stakeholders to understand business operations nd translate them into test cases
- Apply strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and test automation frameworks to define, implement, and maintain test plans, test specifications, and test suites
- Identify and report defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues
- Develop and maintain test data and test environments
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing and quality assurance
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of related practical experience
- Experience with Python, Go, Java, React, or C++
- Experience working with client-server architectures and automation
- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL database queries for test validation
- Knowledge of log analysis using tools like Splunk for troubleshooting and monitoring
- Experience with API testing using Postman, or similar tools
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)

Expected Compensation
$128,000 - $192,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
