Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Forecasting is a high visibility role contributing to the development of the short-term and long term demand forecasts, IC forecasts, and Production forecasts, under the direction of the Associate Director, Forecasting and Executive Director, Corporate Planning & Planning. The Sr. Mgr. Forecasting will be responsible for gathering and analyzing the necessary actuals and assumptions inputs, developing demand forecasts, and reporting demand along with core assumptions to Senior Management, Marketing, Finance and other stakeholders to inform business decisions in a fast-paced environment, under the guidance and direction of the Associate Director, Forecasting and Executive Director, Corporate Planning & Strategy.

Essential Functions

  • Contribute to the development of short-term & long-term demand forecasts (LE and BP submissions) for Eisai brands in the US market.
  • Co-lead assumptions generation discussions, gathering input from Business Intelligence, Marketing, Finance, Managed Markets, Medical, and Senior Management.
  • Work in close alignment with the internal stakeholders, communicating and explaining assumptions in the forecast projections, while informing the accuracy of the product demand predictions
  • On ongoing basis, update Eisai patient-based models with data actuals, competitive events updates, and other data, to keep forecast models current.
  • Provide SKU-level demand production forecasts.
  • Provide national-level quarterly forecasts for the Field Incentive Compensation (IC) team use.
  • Present forecast projections and assumptions to Senior Management, Marketing leads, and other stakeholders. Gain stakeholder input and assumptions acceptance throughout the modeling and forecasting process.

Requirements

  • BA/BS required. MBA preferred.
  • 4+ years or more of demonstrated Pharma demand forecasting expertise and experience. Understanding of short term and long term forecast development processes, including patient- and prescriptions-based modeling and assumptions generation.
  • Oncology or Neurology therapeutic area expertise is preferred.
  • Knowledge and working experience with data audits that feed forecasting models (e.g. epidemiology data sources, patient share data sources, Specialty Pharmacy data, ValueCentric data etc.).
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, applied to developing assumptions and modeling short-term and long term demand forecasts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong Excel modeling skills, ability to update and run existing forecast models, and flexibility prepare multiple scenarios, as business needs require. Strong ppt data visualization skills.
  • Effective communication skills and executive presence; this role will frequently present to and interact with Senior Management.
  • Strong collaboration skills and flexibility. This role will work closely with multiple stakeholders: Senior management, marketing, Business Intelligence, Finance, etc.
  • Hybrid Work Arrangement: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays are onsite days in Nutley, NJ

Eisai Salary Transparency Language:

The base salary range for the Senior Manager, Forecasting is from :142,600-187,100 Under current guidelines, this position is eligible to participate in : Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan.

Final pay determinations will depend on various factors including but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, and skills.
