General Function:

Accountability Objectives:

The primary objective of this position is the development and support of systems to serve the business needs of the company. The incumbent is responsible to perform all functions of systems analysis, design and programming to achieve this end, and may work independently or as an assigned member of a project team.

Dimension:

The scope of this position generally includes all functions of systems analysis and programming and may serve any operational area within the company.

Primary Responsibilities:

Systems analysis personnel at all levels have the basic responsibilities enumerated below:

  • It is every BPM, Inc. Employee's responsibility to be aware of and work with Belvac's current documented Quality Management System as it pertains to their job requirements.
  • Will be responsible for a high level of performance in all functions of systems analysis and programming assigned (feasibility and cost study, problem definition, systems recommendations, analysis, design, preparation of programming instructions, programming, user instructions and documentation.
  • Will often be required to communicate with management and staff personnel on feasibility studies, development of systems specifications and implementation of systems.
  • Will prepare, or assist in the preparation of reports and presentations to management concerning systems recommendations and justification, status of systems development in progress and post implementation reviews.
  • Will work within constraints and standard policies and procedures established by the company and departmental management.
  • Will complete assigned systems analysis tasks and projects on time and will keep management informed of progress and problems encountered.
  • Will work in close unison with technical support and operations in performance of his/her duties.
  • May be assigned to provide leadership of certain phases of systems projects or to function as a project leader on larger projects.
  • Will be responsible to develop and maintain a high level of knowledge in the area of business systems applications as well as in the technical areas of computer and peripheral equipment, software, systems design and programming. Will attend technical and other training courses as assigned.
  • Where appropriate, will make recommendations concerning new systems of system modification to the Director, I.S.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned by Director, I.S.

Education:

Generally, this position requires a Bachelor of Science, Information System, or Bachelor of Science Computer Science, or equivalent. Appropriate (minimum 10 years) experience can substitute.

Experience:

The Incumbent should have at least 10 years in Application Development and programming. Prior Experience Implementing and supporting a Tier 1 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System. Competence with IFS ERP system, compatible IFS reporting systems and Crystal Reports. Project Management experience preferred.
