Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring a Condition Assessment Technical Lead to join our dynamic Water Team. What You Will Do:



  • Deliver Excellence: Provide technical direction and act as the subject matter expert for the organization in large diameter pipeline and appurtenance condition assessment, maintenance, and reliability.
  • Inspire Teams: Mentor high-performing professionals who are passionate about solving complex infrastructure challenges.
  • Drive Growth: Provide technical expertise and insights to support business development efforts
  • Win Work: Support business development efforts with local and state agencies, water authorities, and sewer districts.
  • Represent Woolpert: Serve as a thought leader at industry events, conferences, and client engagements, attracting talent and clients to Woolpert.


What You Will Bring:



  • Education & Experience:



    • BS in Engineering and 16+ years related experience; master's degree preferred



  • Expertise:



    • Subject Matter Expert in planning and design of wastewater collection systems, water distribution systems, water transmission systems, Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Surveys (SSES), and condition assessment of water/wastewater pipelines
    • Expert in planning and engineering of large diameter water conveyance systems, scheduling and sequencing for system outages for inspections and maintenance, best practices for predictive maintenance, means and methods for protection, repair, and replacement, and interpreting inspection data for determination of repair and replacement needs.
    • Proven ability to mentor and manage technical teams and project delivery teams, as well as coordinating with inspection and construction contractors.



  • Leadership:



    • Demonstrated success in mentoring and building high-performing teams
    • Proactive management style and innovative thinking, as well as ability to persuade others to understand and agree with recommendations.



  • Business Acumen:



    • Strong client relationship management
    • Experience negotiating project schedules, fees, and contracts



  • Communication Skills:



    • Strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities
    • Ability to represent Woolpert in client and public forums



  • Tech & Travel:



    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
    • Willing to travel 20% to meet client and project needs

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Pay Range

$139,200 - $208,800 USD
