Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring a Content Writer to join our dynamic communications team. This position reports to the technical writing team lead and is responsible for leading the development and maintenance of compelling technical and/or marketing content. Specific materials may include white papers, case studies, technical articles, and proposals. Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong technical writing and storytelling skills and be adept at interviewing subject matter experts, drafting content, incorporating feedback, and managing quick-turnaround review cycles. Priority will be given to candidates with specific experience in architecture, engineering, and/or geospatial writing.

What You Will Do:



  • Translate complex technical subjects into understandable topics with distinct benefits.
  • Using benefits-driven storytelling, write compelling case studies that clearly convey the added value of Woolpert's services and expertise.
  • Develop white papers and other thought leadership in collaboration with industry-leading subject matter experts.
  • Perform billable writing assignments as needed.
  • As needed, assist in the development and maintenance of various proposal and marketing content.


What You Will Bring:



  • Education/Experience: BA/BS degree in related field and six (6) years of related experience OR 10+ years of related experience.
  • Software: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, project collaboration/management tools.
  • Attributes: Eager to learn, collaborative, detail oriented.
  • Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
  • Background in architecture, engineering, and/or geospatial writing preferred.
  • Skill in Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Pay Range

$57,800 - $72,200 USD
