Commercial Loan Services Supervisor

Primary Purpose of Job

Oversees production of the Documentation and Servicing teams responsible for commercial loan operations activities. Builds and maintains processes to support an excellent customer experience. Ensures compliance with American Savings Bank (ASB) policies and procedures and applicable banking laws and regulations.

Major Job Accountabilities

• Oversees all commercial loan operations activities from end to end including documentation, booking and servicing for all loans to businesses.
• Performs quality control reviews to ensure accuracy of transactions and data into Signature.
• Develops and fine tunes processes and workflows in collaboration with other business units to improve customer experience and efficiency and adapt to alternate channels such as online and mobile banking.
• Identifies and drives improvements to loan and related systems and develops documentation, booking and servicing procedures and guidelines consistent with best practices to ensure data quality, operational efficiency, and compliance.
• Provides operational support for loan and related systems and serves as a subject matter expert on loan booking systems.
• Partners with ASB attorneys to develop, maintain and update commercial loan documentation and procedures, including processes to protect and maintain the bank's interest in collateral.

• Coordinates, tests and implements commercial loan system changes and releases, including communicating changes, working with business partners to identify impacts and opportunities, and providing training to impacted teams.
• Mentors, trains, coaches and develops servicing teammates to build knowledge and understanding on best practices and ensures teammates pursue an excellent customer experience. Establishes careers paths and opportunities for continued development of teammates.

Experience Required

3 years of banking experience in consumer or commercial loan servicing, underwriting or documentation

Experience Required

• Ability to coordinate and prioritize workload.
• Ability to lead a team, coaching individuals to achieve optimal performance. Effective at conflict resolution.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with loan operations and servicing software.
• Current and working knowledge of bank credit processing regulatory rules and regulations, commercial loan process, servicing and documentation is required.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across the organization.
• Experience and ability to implement or enhance technology and leverage technology into workflows to achieve efficiency, effectiveness and compliance in bank loan operations.
• Possesses excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
