Engineering Manager-Panels
Engineering Manager Panels Division Responsible for leading and managing engineering operations, including project execution, technical development, and cross-functional collaboration to support manufacturing and product innovation. Oversees quality assurance, compliance, and strategic planning while fostering team development and continuous improvement across processes, equipment, and systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Team Leadership & Management a. Manage and delegate tasks within the engineering team, ensuring balanced workloads. b. Set direction for technical and maintenance teams. c. Utilize each engineer in projects and tasks that match their strengths. d. Coordinate development and camaraderie across departments. e. Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned. 2. Project & Process Management a. Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering projects to achieve goals and meet deadlines. b. Monitor progress against schedules and budgets; allocate resources as needed. c. Manage capital projects and lead R&D initiatives for new products and processes. d. Support continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and performance. 3. Technical Development & Innovation a. Develop equipment and systems to support manufacturing processes. b. Participate in product, process, equipment, and method improvements. c. Ensure preventative maintenance plans are in place. 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration a. Collaborate with production, quality, purchasing, and sales teams to maintain supply and launch new products. b. Serve as the technical expert on supply and production issues. c. Handle internal and external inquiries professionally. 5. Quality Assurance & Compliance a. Act as, or delegates ISO 9000 and AS9100 management representative. b. Assess product specifications and ensure alignment with customer requirements. c. Maintain documentation and control procedures. d. Liaise with customer auditors and ensure corrective actions, compliance and follow up. e. Support compliance with government standards and legislation. 6. Reporting & Documentation a. Write technical and management system reports. b. Prepare clear internal and external explanatory documents. 7. Strategic Planning & Policy Development a. Formulate and implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for the business unit. b. Establish service standards for customers or clients. 8. Training & Development a. Identify and deliver relevant quality-related training. b. Identify and provide career development and training opportunities to engineering team. c. Train Production Operators on process or machine specifications. 9. Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned. Qualifications & Benefits
