A/V Technician Building Operations, Conference Services Building Operations 3 Conference Services-O3 Job Description OVERVIEW We are currently seeking an Audiovisual (AV) Technician to support our Client at their (Location) Corporate Headquarters. Essential Duties *Provide onsite and in-room support to customers as requested * Set and maintain proactive executive/high profile meeting support levels * Manage and maintain AV and VTC support ranging from simple (Desktop) to complete (Video Walls, Network Services, Digital Signage, etc.) * Setup, testing, operation, and (to a lesser extent) tear down of AV and VTC equipment * Assist with facility and customer requests. Work with customers regarding basic room reservation needs* * Respond to customer special requests and last-minute changes * Provide extensive troubleshooting for AV and VTC related technology * Maintain conference room integrity in compliance with SOPs * Perform regular preventive maintenance checks * Provide team support for "Special" and Executive level events * Execute and assist the Video Operations Center in all aspects of videoconferences including call set up, end user training, troubleshooting, and follow through on escalation of issues * Provide consultation and education to all levels of end users on presentation technology equipment * Take responsibility and ownership of any identified or customer reported faults with AV or VTC systems and monitor all actions taken to resolve the faults * Assist in the maintenance of AV/VTC operations inventories * Assist and support in the development of standard conference room documentation including room specific Tip Sheets and SOPs * Escalate housekeeping and technical issues outside of AV to appropriate department via Facilities or IT Help Desks * Assist with furniture reconfiguration * Assist senior staff with equipment installation, rack and stack and cable harnessing; cable pulling and termination of connections. * Some travel will be required Education And Experience * High School Diploma/GED Bachelor's Degree plus at least 3 years related experience.* * Minimum 5 years of experience in the AV field .* Strong background working with Microsoft Teams/MTR, Extron, Crestron, and/or Tandberg as well as Lync/Skype for Business. Ability to learn new systems in a short timeframe is needed. * Strong knowledge with demonstrated experience using VTC Codec's (Polycom and Cisco), Audio Mixers, Control Systems, AV automation, Wiring, Amplifiers, Microphones, Projection systems, Video Cameras and other AV peripheral equipment. * Proficient in Microsoft SuiteDesired Skills* Experience with Event Management System (EMS) Software * Hotel or IACC Certified Conference Center AV experience. * Photography and videography experience needed * Proficiency installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Audio DSP's (i.e. BIAMP, Clear one, Crestron). ISDN/IP data networks and videoconferencing bridges and gateways as well as cabling are pluses. * Industry relevant training (CTS) or technical courses strongly desired * Excellent organizational and database skills, a professional attitude, and a willingness to learn new technologies.Key Skills For Success * Excellent customer service skills * Friendly disposition and ability to effectively communicate to all levels within the client's environment * Ability to thrive in a sometimes stressful and fast-paced customer focused environment * Ability to successfully manage multiple projects with differing complexity, content, and deadlines .* Proven ability to analyze problems and propose reasonable solutions. * Work effectively both independently and within a team* Estimated compensation for this position: 59,425.00 - 59,425.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
