Position Summary:
The Medical College of Wisconsin's Department of Pediatrics, Division of Allergy/Immunology, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide care within the Allergy/Immunology Appleton Clinic. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.
Position Highlights:
- Performs comprehensive histories and physical exams, identifies normal and abnormal findings, including physical, cognitive and psychosocial status.
- Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Develops pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment plans.
- Monitors effectiveness of plan of care.
- Educates patients on disease and treatment plans.
- Performs procedures as trained and appropriately credentialed.
- Documents within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and completes other necessary documents.
- Collaborates and/or consults with physicians and other health care providers as appropriate.
- Educates, counsels, and assists patients and families regarding current health problems, health maintenance activities and preventive behaviors.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team and business leaders for program development and quality improvement initiatives
- High volume ambulatory specialty clinic that provides quality, comprehensive, ashtma, allergy, and immunologic services to the whole family, children, and adults.

- Team dynamic: 1 full time APP currently in the NE, recruitment is on-going for a faculty member,

Schedule:
- Provider will have 7 half days of clinic. Typical hours are Monday through Friday 8 to 5.
- No holiday or weekend requirments

Children's Wisconsin and Children's Specialty Group
Children's Wisconsin is an independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children. The hospital, with locations in Milwaukee and Northeast Wisconsin, is recognized as one of the leading pediatric health care centers in the United States. Children's Wisconsin provides primary care, urgent care, emergency care, specialty care, mental and behavioral health services, community health services, foster and adoption services, child advocacy services and health insurance plans. Each year, the Children's Wisconsin team has more than 6.5 million touchpoints with kids and families through medical care, advocacy, research and education. Preferred Experience:
- Previous APP Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology experience preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years experience as an APN preferred
- Experience with Adult and Pediatric populations preferred.
Minimum Education:
- Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
- Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.

- Wisconsin RN License
- Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
