Overview

TRC has an immediate opening for a Systems Programmer responsible for computer programming and technology support related to repair and/or restoration of remediation system operating systems. This is a temporary, part-time position.


Responsibilities

  • System Development & Maintenance: Designing, coding, and modifying system-level software, including operating systems, drivers, and firmware.
  • Installation & Configuration: Setting up, configuring, and installing operating systems, servers, and other core system software to meet business needs.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyzing system performance, tuning parameters, and implementing code optimizations to improve system efficiency and stability.
  • Troubleshooting & Debugging: Diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, errors, and bottlenecks in system software to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Upgrades & Patching: Managing software and hardware upgrades, implementing patches, and ensuring systems are running on the latest versions.
  • Technical Support & Collaboration: Providing technical assistance to other IT personnel, troubleshooting user-reported issues, and collaborating with developers and administrators to resolve system problems.
  • System Analysis: Evaluating existing systems and recommending modifications or improvements to enhance functionality and efficiency.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining clear documentation for software designs, coding methodologies, and system configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and system maintainability

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in various programming languages and low-level coding.
  • Expertise in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, mainframe) and hardware.
  • Analytical and strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Understanding of system architecture and the integration of hardware and software components
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
