ABOUT THE ROLE Perform general labor tasks safely and efficiently as part of a precast field crew. This role focuses on patching, repairing, and finishing precast products on job sites to achieve required appearance and quality standards. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform patching, repair, and finishing of precast concrete to meet required appearance and quality standards
- Execute field corrections and repairs, including blending architectural finishes for a consistent look
- Operate equipment such as concrete saws for flat and vertical cutting in a safe manner
- Utilize lifts, scaffolding, and swing stages to complete work safely at various heights
- Perform surface preparation tasks including sandblasting and pressure washing
- Complete brick removal and tuck pointing as needed for restoration work
- Install hardware and components per engineering drawings, panel tickets, and specifications
- Follow direction from Foreman and Field Superintendent to complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Use materials, tools, and supplies effectively to minimize waste and maintain productivity
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for a hardworking, safety-focused individual with hands-on construction experience and a strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working at heights, and skilled in concrete repair, patching, and finishing work. This individual is self-motivated, takes direction well, and works efficiently both independently and as part of a crew to deliver high-quality results on job sites. IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of construction or manual labor experience preferred
- OSHA 10 certification required or ability to obtain
- Reliable transportation to travel to job sites
- Ability to safely operate equipment including concrete saws, lifts, scaffolding, and swing stages
- Experience with patching, finishing, sandblasting, pressure washing, and general concrete repair work
- Ability to read blueprints, use a tape measure accurately, and apply basic math skills
- General knowledge of construction practices, including brick removal, tuck pointing, and hardware installation
- Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding conditions
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow direction, work in a team, and maintain professional conduct
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
- Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
- Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors year-round
- Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
