JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Position Type: Part-time (5-7 hours per week), Remote

Position Overview: The Piazza Center is seeking a detail-oriented assistant to support data collection and management efforts for the National Fraternity, Sorority, Student Organization Scorecard (Scorecard). This position plays a key role in ensuring that data submitted by colleges and universities is accurate, consistent, and ready to be used for national reporting. The individual in this role will also contribute to stakeholder engagement by assisting with presentations to campuses and partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain a national submission tracking sheet to monitor participating campuses.
  • Download and organize Excel workbooks submitted by institutions.
  • Communicate with campuses to encourage participation and assist with data preparation.
  • Review submissions for errors, inconsistencies, or unclear entries.
    • Clean data when possible, or follow up with campuses for clarification.
  • Communicate with campuses to confirm receipt of submissions and thank them for their participation.
  • Assist the Principal Investigator with report development and delivery.
  • Occasionally prepare and deliver presentations to campuses, consortia, or other stakeholders about the Scorecard project.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfort working with Excel (sorting, filtering, cleaning data).
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a consistent weekly workload and meet deadlines.
  • (Preferred) Experience with Qualtrics survey software.
  • (Preferred) Experience with data cleaning, institutional research, or fraternity/sorority life in higher education.
  • (Preferred) Presentation or public speaking experience.

Work Environment:

  • Remote position with flexible scheduling.
  • Approximately 5-7 hours per week.
  • Reports to the Piazza Center Data Analyst, Principal Investigator for the Scorecard.

Compensation:

The starting rate for this job is $20.
