Job Summary

We are seeking an entry-level Software Engineer I specializing in Salesforce and micro-service integration development to join our team at NextGear Capital. As part of a team of Engineers and Salesforce Administrators, you will work on building and maintaining scalable, high-performance Salesforce solutions and backend services that support our Salesforce solutions for our internal users. You will leverage your skills in Salesforce, Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development to deliver robust and reliable software solutions supporting over 600 internal users of our Salesforce ecosystem.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain Salesforce code (Apex and LWC) that drive our business.
  • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Collaborate with an agile development team to design, implement, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices for software development.
  • Work on integrating observability tools to monitor and improve system performance.
  • Contribute to test automation efforts to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Utilize GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Copado for version control, collaboration, and pipeline management.


Min Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline(computer science, etc). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years' experience in a related field
  • Proficiency in Java programming and familiarity with Spring Boot framework.
  • Understanding of RESTful API design and development.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, including secure coding principles, code reviews and agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and techniques.
  • Basic understanding of observability concepts (e.g., logging, monitoring, and tracing).
  • Experience with GitHub or similar version control systems.


Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Salesforce development practices.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of database technologies like MSSQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.


USD 72,200.00 - 108,200.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $72,200.00 - $108,200.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
