*Overview:*
We're looking for a seasoned Data Center Technician to join our IT team at a senior level. This role focuses on advanced hardware troubleshooting and deployment, particularly involving GPUs, servers, networking gear, and cabling. You'll also manage tickets through ITSM tools and lead hands-on infrastructure projects in a fast-paced data center environment. *Key Responsibilities:* * *Hardware Deployment & Troubleshooting* * Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, switches, and GPUs. * Perform break-fix tasks across servers, network devices, and cabling. * Handle firmware updates, IP configurations, and component upgrades. * Rack and stack equipment, ensuring proper cabling and airflow containment. * Interpret BOMs to verify materials and ensure build accuracy. * *Cabling & Connectivity* * Install and label copper and fiber cabling (SM, MM, MPO). * Scope and clean fiber connectors (SC, LC, MPO). * Patch and route cables neatly, following data center standards. * Install and manage optical modules (SFPs, QSFPs). * *Project & Team Leadership* * Lead build activities and ensure alignment with data center standards. * Manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. * Serve as the point of contact between technicians and leadership. * Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. * Communicate progress clearly using documentation tools and photos. * *Operational Support* * Assist network admins with server and switch issues. * Support remote configuration by temporarily racking and cabling devices. * Audit inventory and consumables. * Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures. *Qualifications:* * 5+ years of hands-on experience in data center deployment and break-fix work. * Deep understanding of ethernet cabling and fiber technologies. * Extensive experience landing and configuring fully populated GPU or network racks in a data center environment. * Experience with DC power systems and enterprise-level telecom designs. * Strong documentation and communication skills. * Willingness to travel as needed. *Preferred Certifications & Skills:* * CompTIA A+, Server+, CCENT (or equivalent experience). * CCNA and MCP/MSCE certifications preferred. * Familiarity with Windows OS. * Scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, or Bash is a plus. *Other Details: * Day and night shifts are available, either 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am. Candidates will work either Sunday - Tuesday and every other Wednesday or Thursday - Saturday and every other Wednesday. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $42.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
