Clinical Nutrition Supervisor

Job Summary

• Supervises the work of clinical staff.
• Responsible for Performance Improvement activities for clinical care
• Provides counseling, training and education to staff
• Provides clinical nutrition services to patients
• Responsible for clinical decisions in the absence of the F&NS Manager.

Education

• Completion of a BS degree program approved by the American Dietetics Association that leads to registration as a Registered Dietitian. Basic knowledge of subspecialty areas (nutrition support, diabetes, cardiology, renal, oncology, etc.)

Experience

• 2 years of clinical experience in an acute care facility. Previous experience working in a clinical diet office or previous supervisory experience at a clinical diet office.

Licensure/Certification

• Registration with the American Dietetic Association and an Oklahoma State license. Must obtain a food handlers permit from the Cleveland County Health dept. before hire (or within 1 week of hire). Completion of general and patient care orientation is required prior to providing patient care.
