*Job Title:* Service Management Technician / AV Technician
*Location:* Madison, Wisconsin *Duration:* 1-Year Contract (with potential for extension) *Work Schedule:* Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM CST (flexibility to cover until 5:00 PM on select days) *Work Environment:* 100% On-Site *Position Overview:* TEKsystems is partnering with a leading organization in Madison, WI to hire a skilled and customer-focused technology service technician. This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining over 300 conference rooms across multiple office locations, with a primary focus at the company's National Headquarters and occasional travel to another building near the Capitol. You will be the first point of contact for resolving AV-related issues, including connectivity problems with Microsoft Teams and Zoom. This is a hands-on, executive-facing role that requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to customer service. *Key Responsibilities:* * Provide on-site support for AV systems in 330+ conference rooms across Madison-area offices. * Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and general AV connectivity. * Respond to and manage tickets in ServiceNow; self-assign or reroute as appropriate. * Conduct daily readiness checks for scheduled meetings in large conference rooms. * Perform proactive sweeps to identify and resolve unreported outages. * Support large meetings and corporate events with AV setup and monitoring. * Update firmware and software based on guidance from AV team leads. * Maintain high standards of cable management and room cleanliness after installations or repairs. * Collaborate with remote technicians to address alerts and outages across other U.S. locations. *Required Skills & Qualifications:* * Experience with Microsoft Teams and Zoom conferencing platforms. * Strong understanding of AV hardware, cabling, and installation techniques. * Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks. * Excellent communication and customer service skills; comfortable interacting with executives and staff. * Self-starter with a team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn new technologies. * Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems (preferred but not required). *Why Join:* This is a unique opportunity to work in a high-impact, visible role supporting one of Wisconsin's largest and most respected companies.
