Requirements
Flight Specialties Components Corp. (FSC), a subsidiary of HEICO Aerospace, is currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Inspector to assist in manufacturing Electro/Mechanical components at our facility in Highland Heights, Ohio.
PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position reports directly to the FSC Quality Manager.
- Participate in all aspects of product inspection and verification for assigned aircraft components, as detailed below -
- Perform inspection of Electro/Mechanical components to assure parts meet all aspects of the design requirements.
- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, supplier certifications, by conducting visual, measurements and testing.
- Conduct QA inspections, start to finish.
- Verify all activities required in the receiving process are performed correctly and completely.
- Manage internal records and documentation including maintaining Calibration records.
- Assist with audits as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION / PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Associate Degree in Quality Assurance, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field with at least 2 years of work experience in Quality Assurance function is strongly preferred.
- High school diploma with at least 2 years of work experience in Quality Assurance function is acceptable.
- Understands blueprints, instructions, GD&T, technical documents and ensures that products meet quality standards is preferred.
- Experience with authoring First Article Inspection, Final Inspection and Nonconformity reports is preferred.
- Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office/Excel is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, height stand, radius gages, pin gages preferred.
- Experience with CMM/Vision System (OGP) is preferred.
- Successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks and have the drive and ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Must be self-motivated with attention to detail.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence required.
