Overview
 
 
VTG is seeking a highly motivated Program Analyst to provide direct support to the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development, and Acquisition (ASN (RDA)). This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment at the forefront of Navy acquisition and program management activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in acquisition policy, program analysis, and executive-level coordination within the Department of Defense (DoD). This position is 100% onsite in Arlington, VA.   
 
What will you do?
 
 
 - Support ASN (RDA) leadership and staff in the oversight and execution of Navy acquisition programs.
 - Conduct research, analysis, and evaluation of program performance metrics, schedules, and budgets to inform senior decision-making.
 - Assist in the preparation of reports, briefings, and correspondence for SES and Flag Officer review.
 - Interpret and apply acquisition statutes, regulations, and policy statements to ensure program compliance.
 - Support tasker tracking, coordination, and response management through DoD/DON systems (e.g., ETMS2).
 - Coordinate across Navy Echelon I and II organizations to gather data, resolve issues, and maintain program alignment with strategic goals.
 - Participate in program reviews, design reviews, and documentation development to support acquisition lifecycle management.
 - Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, transparency, and communication within ASN (RDA) operations. 
 
  
 
Do you have what it takes?
 
 
 - Minimum of 5 years of relevant acquisition experience, with emphasis on acquisition research and development or program management.
 - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
 - Demonstrated experience in requirements definition, specification development, detailed design review, documentation, and testing.
 - Proven ability to analyze cost and schedule variances and synthesize complex data for leadership use.
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and DoD/DON tasker systems (e.g., ETMS2).
 - Experience working in an Echelon I organization and supporting Senior Executive Service (SES), Flag Officers (FO), or General Officers (GO).
 - Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively across multiple stakeholders.
 - Must have and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
