Job Description

Prepares, reviews and negotiates contracts for industry sponsored contracts from initial request to final execution. Ensures contracts and supporting documentation are accurate and completed in a timely manner.

Job Responsibility




  • Reviews, drafts and negotiates terms and conditions of a variety of agreements including industry sponsored clinical trial agreements, subcontracts, confidentiality agreements, work orders and other contracts related to clinical research.
  • Communicates with study teams throughout the negotiation process to ensure they are kept up-to-date on the status of pending contracts.
  • Assists in the development of departmental policies and procedures as related to industry sponsored contracts Ensures adherence to organization policies, procedures and contracting standards.
  • Serves as liaison between study teams and sponsors concerning policies and procedures related to industry sponsored clinical trial agreements on a day-to-day basis.
  • Verifies compliance requirements outlined in contracts are met and appropriate approvals are in place.
  • Troubleshoots contract related issues.
  • Coordinates execution of agreements.
  • Participates in planning of and conducts workshops and seminars.
  • Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.

Job Qualification




  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, preferred
  • Experience reviewing, drafting and marking up contracts, strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, strongly preferred
  • Critical thinking skills, preferred
