The Times of Northwest Indiana, a division of Lee Enterprises, is seeking a full-time reporter to cover local government and produce impactful journalism that holds public officials accountable. This reporter will go beyond meeting coverage to find the story behind the story - developing sources, analyzing public data, and uncovering how local decisions affect residents across Northwest Indiana. We're looking for a self-starter with strong writing, interviewing, and analytical skills who can produce high-quality stories for both digital and print platforms and work tirelessly to develop trusted sources. The position requires curiosity, persistence and a collaborative mindset to work with editors and fellow journalists across departments and to be a trusted agent of truth in community and government circles.
