Peraton is seeking an highly skilled Avionics Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical leadership, design oversight, and system integration expertise in support of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) modernization programs. This role will focus on aircraft communications, navigation systems, and site survey assessments to ensure safe, interoperable, and resilient aviation infrastructure. The Avionics SME will guide engineering teams through complex avionics design, integration, testing, and certification processes while ensuring alignment with FAA and industry standards. In this position, you will:
Serve as the technical authority for avionics design, integration, and modernization activities. The FAA's mission to ensure the safety, efficiency, and modernization of U.S. airspace depends on innovation in avionics technology. As an Avionics SME, your expertise will directly impact how systems are designed, integrated, and sustained to support the future of aviation. Target Salary Range $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
