Job Description:

We are looking for a safety-conscious Driver Helper to join our team in Tampa, Florida.

This position supports the garbage truck driver on designated routes by manually collecting solid waste and assisting with disposal at appropriate sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ride along with the garbage truck driver to service customers
• Load refuse bags and bring containers to the truck for proper disposal
• Direct the driver when backing up
• Assist with basic vehicle maintenance
• Operate packing mechanisms and levers to activate the loading arm
• Clean the packer blade and truck body
• Deliver positive customer service interactions
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs repeatedly
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be able to work nights and weekends
