What to Expect
We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Mastering Lead. This role is ideal for someone who can dive deep into complex problems, execute independently, and design and drive cross-functional initiatives that shape the future of our business processes, systems, and culture.

The Mastering Lead is responsible for all aspects of the mastering and match-to-master processes for interior and exterior materials. This includes the analysis and approval of color, material, finish and grain, as well as the validation of overall appearance and quality as it relates to material development through close collaboration with suppliers and key cross-functional partners.

The Mastering Lead will identify, lead, and implement process improvements (including procedures, tools, and software) to optimize departmental efficiency and streamline all aspects of the mastering system. You hold the highest standards for quality, are detail oriented, and capable of building strong relationships with other team members.


What You'll Do
  • Drive all aspects of the color and material mastering process, including master creation, match to master and master replenishment activities
  • Develop the supply base and track timelines to ensure all color and material masters are on track for production. Communicate guidelines and best practices and establish corrective action plans to ensure deliverables are met on time
  • Track and communicate material masters' status to Design Quality, Color & Materials, Purchasing and Engineering Teams and escalate high risk items
  • Understand the manufacturing process of all materials in both development and production to effectively work with suppliers to achieve design intent

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Design Quality, Textiles, Color/Materials, or Product Development or equivalentexperience
  • 5+ years' experience managing materials/color appearance quality
  • High color acuity with the ability to critique and articulate specific color and appearance variances of interior/exterior materials to external suppliers and internal teams. Successfully pass the Munsell Hue Test with a Superior score
  • Experience making color quality evaluation decisions using color measurement tools and digital data paired with visual analysis
  • Experience identifying, driving and implementing departmental efficiencies
  • Convey pragmatic interest in facilitating creative projects while not being hands-on in a creative capacity with respect to design
  • Possess technical knowledge of mass production, manufacturing processes, and materials
  • Excellent at creating and maintaining both external supplier and internal cross-functional working relationships
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills are a must

    Expected Compensation
    $84,000 - $216,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
