Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Rental Manager in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Rental Manager is responsible for managing and controlling the rental store/stores to ensure a safe, efficient and profitable operation to support the rental store/stores and corporate objectives by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate Team Members. Seeking candidates with a minimum of three years' management experience in a service related industry; Minimum of two years supervisory experience; Experience in the Rental Equipment Industry preferred; Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred. Requirements for the Rental Manager position include: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent sales skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Must be able to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Must be able to function well in a high-volume and fast-paced environment. Must be able travel frequently - overnight and out of town. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Promote a positive customer experience. Physical requirements must be met for the Rental Manager job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight.
