| About the Role W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc. is seeking a versatile and experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team.This role requires a broad range of technical expertise to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical manufacturing and lab equipment.The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team. The schedule would be Mon-Fri 2:00pm-10:30pm. This role will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland. Pay and Benefits:

    Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment in both manufacturing and lab environmentsConduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate into major problemsPerform basic to intermediate fabrications and machine modifications using standard machine shop tools and equipmentSupport continuous improvement activitiesUtilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and quality systems to document completed maintenance tasksRespond to emergency maintenance requests and provide on-call support as required, including off-shift and weekend coverageCoordinate with teams across the division, including production, skilled trades, and technical associates, to optimize scheduling efficiency and minimize disruptions to manufacturing operationsPursue continuous personal development aligned with business needs and current commitmentsAdhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environmentPerform preventative and predictive maintenance on Manufacturing and Lab equipment, evaluating effectiveness (content and frequency) and making necessary changes following our quality system guidelinesRequired Qualifications 
    Journey-level proficiency attained through at least five (5) years of relevant industrial production experience and formal technical training, such as completion of a three-year accredited apprenticeship or equivalent program.Proficiency in using shop equipment such as lathes, mills, and drill presses for repairs and fabricationsStrong understanding of pneumatics and hydraulic systems with basic electrical skills and knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and NFPA codesProficient in desktop computer applications, including MS OfficeExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environmentStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, changing environmentAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematicsFlexibility to respond to on-call emergencies and willingness to work overtime or weekends as neededAbility to lift and carry up to 35 lbsAbility to travel to 5% 
Desired Qualifications 
    Competent welding and fabrication skills (mig, tig. stick)Computerized Maintenance Management system experienceWeb handling experience and PLC exposure This role requires pre-hire medical clearance by Gore which may include testing to assess visual acuity and/or the ability to wear specific safety equipment as required during the performance of the role.
