The Retail Lending Intern will be a part of the Retail Lending Division, where we assist homeowners in buying homes and exploring refinancing options to save money, payoff debt, and more. The Retail Lending Division comprises two segments: Distributed Retail and Consumer Direct. The Distributed Retail Division has Loan Officers on the ground, while the Consumer Direct team helps retain our portfolio through a Call Center located in our Irvine office, assisting existing clients. Potential projects Attend Team Meetings Jump onto a Strategic Initiative project Map strategic growth markets Discuss Market Research [intern is] interested in diving into to help propel our business forward Visit a Western Alliance Bank Branch and see how Mortgage interacts with National Lines of Business Assist with Junior Loan Processor Tasks Update / Modernize Mortgage Tools Ai - look at the business with fresh lenses to see how Ai can help modernize AmeriHome What you'll need: Undergraduate students currently enrolled in a related field of study. GPA of 3.0 or higher. Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills. Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision. An interest in working in the Commercial Business Banking industry. To be eligible for this program, you must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. Compensation: Hourly range for new hires is generally $21.50 - $21.50 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location.
