 #CA-DK The Ambulatory Care Administrative Supervisor 1 in the Radiology Department at UC Davis Health oversees daily operations, managing a team of MOSC IV specialists specializing in radiology exam protocol, ensuring correct authorization and scheduling and MOSC III specialists specializing in radiology scheduling.  This role includes staff supervision, scheduling, training, and performance evaluation, along with technical management of and exceptional customer service to address complaints and resolve conflicts. The position serves as a key liaison between clinical staff, physicians, and administrative personnel. The role involves supervisory, technical, clerical, and customer service responsibilities to ensure smooth departmental operations and exemplary patient care.  A commitment to patient care, compliance with policies, and operational excellence is essential.          Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training Experience within healthcare or medical office setting. Experience in leadership roles within healthcare or medical office setting. Leadership and Supervisory Skills: Personnel management skills, including recruiting, interviewing, training, and developing staff. Ability to establish performance standards, coach employees, administer corrective actions, and foster team building. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook). Oral and written communication skills to convey clear instructions, engage in problem-solving, and collaborate effectively across teams. Ability to address and de-escalate challenging interactions with patients or staff. Interpersonal skills to establish a welcoming, compassionate environment for customers and coworkers. Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service using tact, diplomacy, and professionalism. Ability to maintain composure and efficiency during peak workloads or when handling distressed or difficult individuals. Independent problem-solving skills to define issues, identify resources, and implement solutions. Ability to exercise delegated authority and seek assistance when needed. Ability to function effectively as part of a team and maintain flexibility with unfamiliar tasks or changing priorities. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Physical ability to travel within the hospital, operate departmental vehicles, and lift equipment up to 50 pounds. Proficiency in filing systems (alphabetical, chronological, color-coded, numerical) and maintaining high standards in documentation.Skills to produce professional correspondence, reports, and summaries with accuracy in grammar and spelling. Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and statistical calculations.  Preferred Qualifications 
         Experience scheduling complex radiology exams. Experience reviewing radiology orders and radiology order work queues. Advanced knowledge of EMR systems for entering and retrieving patient data, including demographic information, order status, and productivity reports. Strong planning and organizational abilities to manage complex projects, events, and deadlines. Analytical skills to interpret data, generate reports, and maintain accurate records. Familiarity with hospital policies, departmental procedures, medical terminology, and patient confidentiality standards. Understanding of UCDH rights regarding information requests and patient rights. Experience scheduling complex radiology exams. Experience reviewing radiology orders and radiology order work queues.
