Coastal Harbor Health Systems is currently seeking a qualified Patient Biller/Payment Poster

Coastal Harbor Health System is comprised of a 114-bed hospital for children and adolescents, providing both short- and long-term inpatient care, and a 50 bed inpatient hospital serving men and women, ages 18 and up. We offer compassionate patient care to those who need it the most, serving not only local patients, but also those located across the country. The ideal candidate must have:

Experience in Excel

Experience in Explantation of Benefits

Experience in Insurance and Account Recieveables

This position requires working one Saturday out the month.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To ensure accurate billing of all third-party payers to maximize payment potential.
  Posting payments timely and accurately to ensure resolution of outstanding patient accounts and to meet department goals.
• This is a Billing and Payment Posting position: Medical billing experience is REQUIRED.
  Candidate should have recently worked with DDE (Direct Data Entry/First Coast Medicare) and be knowledgeable with billing Medicare, Tricare, Medicaid claims electronically.
• Familiar with EOB's from insurances and helpful to understand contract adjustments related to insurance contracts. Payment receipts are scanned daily after posting and denials are identified/copied and distributed to correct staff members.
• Fast paced quiet office setting.

Education/Training:

Associates Degree in Financial/Accounting field preferred.

Experience:

Desire past experience and knowledge with psychiatric facility operations.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision
• Highly organized with detail and results orientation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to deal with all levels of stress and handle crises situations
