JOB TITLE: Senior Data Analyst

LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES: Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. Duties to include gathering business requirements for the data-warehouse as well as business intelligence reports; analyze existing design and recommend industry best practice design for optimal performance and maintenance; apply Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience, including analysis, design and review of business and software requirement specifications, and development and testing as per the SDLC waterfall methodology; participate in project meetings/design groups as a team member with other Data Analysts to design, engineer and develop solutions; use Informatica Power Center client tools, Metadata Manager, Informatica Analyst; develop, maintain, and support application, business glossary, business intelligence, data integration, data modeling, and database management resources in Metadata Manager; work on given timelines to ensure that delivery happens on time with the best quality and least defects; assist the Project Manager/Team lead in providing the estimation of project status; analyze (review) the business, technical and functional requirements to develop the test plans, test cases, test scripts, use cases and test strategies; perform regression, integration, functional, system, database, end to end testing, volume, and stress testing as well as development, execution, test specifications and test scenarios; create ETL test data for all ETL mapping rules to test the functionality of the DataStage and Informatica; test the ETL DataStage, Informatica mappings and other ETL Processes (Data Warehouse Testing); and work with the team and data modelers to facilitate modification of the logical design to create a physical design most suited to the business needs of the customer. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Technology Management, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Position requires one (1) year of experience in the following:

* Information Technology including Data Warehouse development and testing using ETL Informatica technologies across various projects;
* Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
* Developing the ETL code using Power Center to load large volumes of data into the data warehouse;
* Creating ETL test data for ETL mapping rules to test the functionality of the DataStage and Informatica;
* Testing the ETL DataStage, Informatica mappings and other ETL Processes (Data Warehouse Testing);
* Developing Test plans, Test cases, Test Scripts, Use Cases and Test strategies using DevSuite;
* Implementing Change Data Capture (CDC) & Slowly Changing Dimensions - SCD Type 1 & 2;
* Teradata Utilities BTEQ, M-Load, F-load, TPT and F-Export in Combination with Informatica for better Load into Teradata Warehouse; and
* Using control M scripts for scheduling ETL Jobs.

RATE OF PAY: $115,315 - $163,000 / per year
