nLIGHT has a temporary Facilities Technician position available at our Camas, WA location. This temporary position offers a limited benefits package and is expected to last a few months. For those who excel in their roles, there is a possibility of transitioning to regular employment as opportunities arise. About the Role

Facilities Technicians contribute to the smooth and efficient production of lasers and laser systems by troubleshooting equipment and servicing facilities used to manufacture semiconductors and electronics. You will often be working in a clean room and in areas where high powered lasers are operating.

Shift available:

Monday-Friday 8A-4:30P

Functions
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed equipment, Assist with maintenance and repair of production equipment.
  • Ensure the efficient and prompt handling of all department work orders and requests.
  • Assembling and plumbing piping and duct work.
  • Troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Handling Chemicals used for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing.
  • Respond to emergencies.
  • Assist as required in cooperation with all personnel in the performance of general day-to-day duties and responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Be available on call to respond to emergency situations pertaining to the System failure, water leaks, etc.
Qualifications
  • Formal technical apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
  • Continuing education or vocational training preferred.
  • LME Electrician License preferred.
  • Training in CPR and/or First-Aid is desired.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
  • Hands-On experience with one or more of the following systems: HVAC, Ultrapure Water, Gas Distribution, Chemical Distribution, Waste Treatment, electrical, Life Safety Systems.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
  • Able to move and lift up to 50LB.
  • Basic knowledge of handling chemicals and the ability to understand SDS.
  • Experience with a computer-based software and building control systems preferred.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and writing.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate reports.
  • Must be self-motivated and customer service oriented.
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with contractors.
  • Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.

Standing, Walking, Sitting, Reading, Stooping, climbing Ladders, crawling in / through low spaces, Hand and Finger Dexterity, Clear Speech, Hearing/Listening Reading and Writing, Clerical, basic Math and Analytical Skills, Judgment, Problem Solving and Decision Making; and Heavy Lifting and Moving, Computers and Related Equipment, Heavy Equipment.

    • Starting pay depends on qualifications:

    Facilities Technician I - $23.41 to $29.30 per hour
    Facilities Technician II - $25.49 to $33.10 per hour
