Motivated to play a key role in the improvement for our data and analytics experience across the enterprise, the Business Intelligence (BI) Intern at IEWC will help develop and support an extensible enterprise data strategy that drives business value.



As a hands-on technical resource, this role will help build global analytics solutions to help drive IEWC's Digital and Business Intelligence offerings. The ideal candidate will have and understanding of modern BI solutions. They will possess knowledge of ETL/ELT development, data warehouses, and visualization development. They will also have the ability and willingness to gather business requirements and complete development of reports and/or dashboards that provide business insights.



Responsibilities:


Assist with the development and maintenance of IEWC's Enterprise Data strategy to provide IEWC with a scalable, best-in-class BI stack.




  • Use business intelligence and visualization software to deliver data solutions that empower internal and external customers with self-service analytics and reporting solutions
  • Performs analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution
  • Help maintain scalable data pipelines that support continuing increases in data volume and complexity
  • Help maintains multi-source, complex data sets that support functional business requirements


Qualifications:



  • Currently working towards working towards a Bachelor's Degree in statistics, computer science, computer engineering, information management/systems, business analytics
  • Experience applying basic statistical methods to difficult business problems
  • Knowledge of or experience with data modeling using SQL


  • Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
  • Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, Excel)
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and data presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills
