About the RoleThe Senior ESG & Sustainability Specialist sits on the Legal team and works cross functionally to meet customer sustainability expectations and continue to develop the sustainability program. The Senior ESG & Sustainability Specialist manages ESG disclosures, alignment with key sustainability frameworks, customer sustainability requests, the GHG inventory and verification process, and SMETA audits. This role operates independently, while collaborating with a variety of teams across the organization and is proactive, highly organized, and data-driven. This role creates value by supporting compliance with customer requirements, minimizing risk, managing data internally, and taking a proactive approach to disclosures and frameworks. Key responsibilities: *
Disclosures/Frameworks:
Lead CDP,
EcoVadis
, and UNGC CoP responses annually; manage TCFD and SASB indices; complete gap analyses and identify areas for improvement
*
GHG Emissions:
Manage annual GHG inventory (Scopes 1, 2, and 3) including calculating Scopes 1 and 2 and
a majority of
Scope 3 categories; manage third party emissions verification
*
Environmental reporting:
Conduct internal verification of water, energy, and waste data; ensure closure of data gaps; support sites with uploading data as needed
*
SMETA audits:
Coordinate SMETA audits; build out resources (ex. best practices checklist) to help plants prepare for SMETA audits; provide guidance and support throughout the preparation (ex. pre-audit prep calls) and audit itself; manage corrective actions; serve as the point of contact for customer SMETA inquiries
*
Customer sustainability requests:
Complete customer sustainability requests; manage request tracker
*
Responsible sourcing program:
Collaborate with procurement to develop program
*
People management:
Conduct interviews and manage sustainability intern (if applicable)
*
Impact Report:
Manage data collection for Impact Report; analyze data for key storytelling opportunities
*
External support:
Coordinate with consultants and serve as the primary point of contact across disclosures (light CDP support), frameworks, emissions inventory, emissions verification, and SMETA audits; manage the process of location additional external support as needed
*
Sustainability developments:
Keep pace on potential disclosures and sustainability related regulations; monitor new emissions guidance; monitor the development of technology supportive of sustainability programs (ex. emissions management platforms; LCA tools)

Total RewardsThe annual pay range estimated for this position is $84,027.20 - $105,034.00 and is bonus eligible.
