Summary:

The AI and Automation Implementation Lead oversees the design, development, and deployment of AI and automation solutions for a large federal help desk program. This role partners with government and program leadership to define requirements, implement innovative technologies, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual standards. The position focuses on improving service delivery, operational efficiency, and system performance through effective AI and automation integration.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for the overall implementation of Automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions for a large help desk program.
  • Creates and executes roadmaps for the development, piloting, implementation, and sustainment of AI systems.
  • Works with the Government and the contract Program Manager to define AI/ML requirements, assists with solution development and selection.
  • Maintains documentation for compliance with appropriate state, federal, and agency level laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Identifies improvement opportunities for systems, both for new AI deployments and existing systems.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, automation frameworks, and emerging technologies
  • Knowledge of federal IT compliance, cybersecurity, and data governance requirements
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters or Bachelors Degree Preferred - Relevant experience may substitute for degree
  • Minimum 1-2 years of related experience
  • Minimum 10-15 years' experience managing DoD or Federal Civilian IT projects/programs
  • Experience implementing AI-driven solutions within large IT or help desk environments
  • Public Trust CBP BI investigation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prefer AI related, ITIL, HDI, or other relevant certifications

Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $160,000 to $175,000.
