Overview

Leads the development, implementation, and oversight of the institution's enterprise-wide risk management framework. Manages one or more programs within the risk management framework. Manages, directs, and supervises staff. Designs and oversees technical solutions and strategic road maps relative to business risk management for various areas across the Enterprise. Partners with executive leadership, business units, and other risk functions to review key technology risk solutions and help develop and mature the business processes being used throughout the Enterprise to streamline and improve risk efforts. Will participate in various cross-functional committees having a focus on specific risks and providing technical guidance and strategic vision as needed. Provides leadership and direction through managers and is accountable for the performance of the technical solution and overall deployment strategy to drive results for numerous teams and/or functions across the Enterprise. Supports executive leadership in defining overall goals and strategic technical plans to execute the risk management vision.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the continuous enhancement of the ERM framework, policies, and procedures with recommendations on how to automate and improve them by leveraging technical solutions within the ServiceNow IRM Portfolio
  • Acts as the business level expert on potential technical solutions to accomplish and scale risk management activities across the Enterprise
  • Conceptualizes and implements frameworks, tools, methods, and programs to identify and mitigate risks, manage risk exposure, and ensure best practices and compliance with regulations and policies
  • Provides industry knowledge and understanding of the ServiceNow infrastructure and capabilities as it relates to risk practices and the intersections across the ServiceNow environment.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership and business units to align and explain the intersection of business and technical requirements to achieve define goals and milestones
  • Develops and implements technology roadmaps and strategies to achieve business requirements
  • Facilitates enterprise-wide risk discussions and collaborations between technical development teams and business areas to ensure cohesiveness and solution development
  • Leads the team to conduct detailed analytical and root cause analysis, develop reporting to support it, and partners with risk owners to implement technical solutions
  • Establishes and designs an enterprise risk reporting platform to drive the right information to the right audience at the right time in a simplistic manner
  • Monitors technical developments and emerging trends in Risk including being astute on the ServiceNow IRM portfolio offerings and capabilities currently available and future enhancements
  • Closely partners with other risk management functions, internal technology teams, third-party vendors, and Internal Audit to ensure a coordinated approach to risk management
  • Promotes a strong risk culture across the organization and helps leads technical training concepts and awareness topics
  • Leads an engaged and empowered team, and contributes to the broader department goals, objectives, and culture

Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of ServiceNow platform
  • Expert knowledge of enterprise risk management principles, frameworks, and tools
  • Expert knowledge of banking/financial industry products and services
  • Expert knowledge of oversight of financial and nonfinancial risks
  • Expert knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations
  • Expert experience demonstrating strategic thought-leadership, initiative-taking, decision making and creativity solving business problems
  • Experience managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
  • Expert experience leading an analytics and reporting function
  • Expert experience supervising and leading employees
  • Expert experience working with all levels of executives, management, staff, stakeholders, and vendors
  • Expert written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Auditing, or related field or equivalent combination of training, education and experience
