As a full time, exempt Lead Clinical Pharmacist, you will serve as a leader of pharmacy initiatives and contribute to the provision of high-quality care. You will provide direction and supportive resources regarding day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department to reduce harm to patients and improve patient outcomes. You will implement and administer fiscal operations, including accounting, planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, establishing rates for services, and coordinating financial reporting, and assure departmental competency and compliance to all regulatory, accreditation and hospital standards of care. You will implement a service culture based on the principles of continuous quality improvement and create structures and processes that ensure cost effective and safe utilization of drug supplies and pharmacy staff time and provide expert pharmaceutical care assistance to colleagues regarding integrated health care delivery network.

Location: Coast Plaza Doctors Hospital in Norwalk, CA

Schedule: This position will work varied hours, 40 hours/week, within the pharmacy hours listed below and on-call on an as needed basis.

Pharmacy Hours: Pharmacy hours are Monday, 7:00am-8:30pm; Tuesday-Friday, 7:30am-8:00pm, and weekends, 8:00am-4:30pm, with remote services provided overnight. The pharmacy utilizes CPOE and ADC-Pyxis with Pyxis automation/software.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Daily supervision of on-site pharmacy team.
  • Schedule and timekeeping management of pharmacy staff
  • Implementation and monitoring of regulator compliance policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree (PharmD preferred)
  • Current California pharmacist license in good standing
  • 3+ years of experience as a pharmacist in an acute care setting

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
