Rutgers University- Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking an Assistant Dean for Analytics and Strategic Intelligence. Reporting to the Vice Dean of Academic Programs, the Assistant Dean is the primary responsible
RBS official that oversees all strategic data processes, analytics and intelligence for managing all
RBS programs and units, gathering, analyzing, and applying information to support strategic planning and decision-making, and other related ad hoc data needs.
The position is in the Rutgers Business School Dean's Office, reporting to the Vice Dean of Academic Programs and Learning Assurance.
This position is responsible and not limited to the following:
- Designs, implements, facilitates, and manages complex data analytics and intelligence projects that are critical to the development and growth of current and new strategic initiatives at RBS
- Identifies reliable data sources, designing, implementing and maintaining accurate databases, information systems, and artificial intelligence aided decision-making systems regarding all aspects of RBS programs, units and activities.
- Periodically analyzes the data and generate detailed strategic insights utilizing data analytics, data visualization, artificial intelligence, and statistical forecasting methods to assist strategic decision making.
- Gathers, organizes, merges, interprets, analyzes, and synthesizes complex databases and data sets and may require additional research to produce meaningful reports for use in strategic decision making, managing all RBS academic programs, as well as all university and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Acts as the Chief Data Scientist and is the key administrator regarding RBS datasets, analytics, and intelligence, responsible for identifying, developing and maintaining new dashboards, databases, analysis tools and methods including artificial intelligence and statistical forecasting regarding all RBS programs and units.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Requires a master's degree in analytics, operations management, communications, or related area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of higher education setting or a related complex management system
- Also requires a minimum of three (3) years experience in advanced analytics, including statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization

- Exceptional communication skills to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for a wide range of audiences, from program directors and faculty to university leadership, external ranking agencies, and the media.
- Expert organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and coordinate across diverse teams to achieve strategic goals.
- Requires excellent communication skills and computer literacy
