POSITION SUMMARY


Join our dynamic team, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive psychological, social, and practical care to patients and their families. You will conduct social work assessments, identify problems, set goals, and implement effective care plans, while also making referrals to external agencies to ensure continuity of care. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you'll lead efforts to optimize patient outcomes and serve as a clinical resource in your specialty area. You will also provide clinical oversight and consultation in the absence of the Clinical Social Worker III/Director, focusing on clinical practice, education, or research, while mentoring colleagues and occasionally covering on-call duties.


COMPETENCIES




  • Education: MSW degree from an accredited school of social work.



  • Knowledge:



    • Understanding of biopsychosocial and cultural factors in clinical social work.
    • Familiarity with social work procedures, systems, and organizational goals.
    • Strong awareness of community resources and the current health care landscape.
    • Ability to gather and synthesize data for informed patient care decisions.
    • Insight into the medical and psychosocial aspects of illnesses and their effects on social functioning.



  • Skills:



    • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities to interact professionally with staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
    • Proven proficiency in delivering social work services in mental health and healthcare settings.
    • Strong analytical skills for assessing patient needs and developing treatment plans.
    • Capacity to identify organizational challenges and propose solutions to enhance patient care.
    • Ability to work independently in a mental health or healthcare environment.
    • Expertise in complex patient assessments and counseling.



  • Licensure and Certification:



    • Must hold a valid LMSW or LCSW-C license from the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners.
    • Candidates licensed in another state may be considered if they meet comparable requirements and have a pending application or have passed relevant examinations.



  • Work Experience:



    • A minimum of two years of licensed clinical social work experience in a mental health or healthcare setting is required. Internship experience may be considered.












Salary Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
