Material Clerk Shift: 5A (Monday-Friday) Job Purpose: Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. May prepare kitting packages for assembly production. This job may be known as shipping, receiving, pick-packs, or stores clerks. Nature of Duties Position will require individual to count electronic components accurately by hand, and by using electronic scales and component counting devices. Must be diligent in component verification, part number control, labeling control and inventory control. Including Microsoft Excel, Oracle, 42Q and other Microsoft Office products. Experience with inventory, labeling and traceability control software is a plus. Must be able to work overtime and follow detailed instructions. Must be able to lift 25lb.
