Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic leader to oversee the daily operations and strategic direction of our Network Engineering team. This role is responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of enterprise network infrastructure while managing staff, budgets, and project delivery. The position plays a critical role in driving innovation and reliability across LAN, WAN, and wireless environments.

This is a remote position within the United States, with the option to work a hybrid schedule from one of our sites in Bar Harbor, ME; Farmington, CT; Gainesville, FL; New York City, NY; or Sacramento, CA, if desired. Quarterly travel is required.

What You'll Contribute

  • Lead and mentor a team of network engineers supporting enterprise LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Direct network planning, implementation, upgrades, and optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure availability and reliability of core network services, including routing, switching, DNS/DHCP, and VPN.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to maintain secure and observable network environments.
  • Monitor SLAs and performance metrics, leveraging observability tools to proactively resolve bottlenecks.
  • Manage vendor relationships and participate in procurement, contract reviews, and licensing processes.
  • Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and documentation aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response activities.

What You're Good At

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years in network engineering leadership roles required
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience required; 4 years preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 networking, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and QoS.
  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring, configuration management, and automation platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop technical teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

The salary range is $113,718 - $190,388. Salary will be determined based on qualifications and relevant experience.
