Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Field Quality Control Specialist providing support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Digital Directorate (AFLCMC/HB). The Air Force Program Execution Office for PEO Digital (AFPEO/HB) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility to manage and execute the modernization, development, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment of the PEO Digital portfolio, which includes over 130 programs for the United States Air Force (USAF) and foreign allies. AFLCMC/PEO Digital Directorate is headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA with geographically separated operating units CONUS and OCONUS.

This is a full time position located at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA.



Responsibilities

In this role you will provide Field Quality Control Specialist support that will observe, monitor, and investigate security system installations for conformance with contract technical requirements, e.g., plans, drawings, technical specifications, schedules, and quality control plans.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

    Be on site for an extended duration
  • Serve as a liaison with the operations, civil engineering, communications and maintenance squadrons (or contractor teams) that will operate the security system after installation completion.
  • Inspecting and evaluating the assembly, installation, and electro-optical adjustment of mechanical, electrical, optical, electronic equipment and associated infrastructure used in visual imagery and intrusion detection systems.


Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Clearance: Must have an Active Secret Clearance

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma

Years of Experience: 30 years of directly related experience, 20 of which must be in the DoD

  • Expertise in inspecting and evaluating the assembly, installation, and electro-optical adjustment of mechanical, electrical, optical, electronic equipment and associated infrastructure used in visual imagery and intrusion detection systems
  • Familiarity with commercial manuals, established TOs, as well as the safety standards and practices for visual imagery and intrusion detection systems maintenance activities

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:

  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and 20 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, 12 years of which must be in the DoD OR,
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 25 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 15 of which must be in the DoD

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
