This is an excellent opportunity for a Digital Director (40 hours/week) at our Administration Offices in Milwaukee or Madison, WI and remote.

PPWI's compensation philosophy is rooted in equity. Starting offers are determined by both the candidate's applicable experience and internal equity. The Digital Director pay starts from $87,000 annually.
Additional $ 1.50 per hour for bilingual (English/Spanish)
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Digital Director will develop and execute digital communications strategies for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin (PPWI) and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin (PPAWI) across all platforms. This role ensures the organization's digital experiences align with and support the organization's mission, vision, values, brand, reputation, and strategic goals.
The Digital Director plays a key leadership role in cross-collaborating with departments to translate organization-wide initiatives into actionable plans that foster continuity in digital messaging. They help create a bridge between digital strategy and creative storytelling to shape digital campaigns, content development, user experience (UX), and website management to amplify PPWI's mission.

* Experience managing digital communications, building multi-channel awareness campaigns, and driving key messages to identified target audiences.
* Experience developing organic and paid digital media strategies.
* Effective communication-both in writing and verbally-facilitation, presentation, and management of feedback loops.
* Ability to adapt to the evolving needs of a project and see it from a big picture perspective while breaking it down into smaller pieces.
* Experience in fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects.
* Must be able to maintain confidential information.
* Experience with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point preferably in MS 365, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience in design and/or art direction a plus
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's degree in advertising, communications, journalism or other related discipline.
* 7 years of experience developing and executing creative strategies across digital, earned, owned, and/or paid media communications or public affairs.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered.
- Must have demonstrated supervisory experience.
SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE:
Directly supervises and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position is predominantly sedentary requiring the ability to sit, bend, stand and walk. May require occasional stooping, reaching, stair-climbing. Requires repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing on a keyboard. Rarely requires kneeling, pushing/pulling and repetitive motions of the feet.
Physical demands of the position necessitate hearing, talking, handling and grasping regularly. May require lifting up to 30 pounds. Specific vision conditions include close vision reading. Requires the ability to operate a computer, telephone, fax, copy machine and adding machine or calculator.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The position is generally performed in an office environment but involves frequent interruptions. The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. Occasional evenings and weekends may be necessary.
This position requires traveling statewide.Must haveaccess totransportation.This may include having a valid driver's license and auto insurance in accordance with agency liability standards and/orthe ability to schedule transportation in accordance with the agency's travel and reimbursement policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Including but not limited to:
Digital Strategy & Creative Direction
  • Direct and execute short- and long-term communications strategies through the lens of PPWI's diversity, equity, and inclusion plan and vision to enhance the experiences of all staff, patients, and community members.
  • Develop and communicate a comprehensive digital creative strategy that aligns with organization's brand standards and target audiences.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Department to ensure brand, digital, and creative strategy are connected and consistent in execution.
  • Maintain high-quality creative standards for all digital marketing and communications output, conducting thorough reviews and revisions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) on digital communications and responses to national issues and stories to ensure alignment between PPWI and PPFA digital communications strategies.
Concept Development & Content Creation
  • Lead concept development & content creation (including social media) across digital campaigns and platforms, generating innovative concepts and storytelling ideas.
  • Develop and execute a full digital media relations strategy in collaboration with traditional media and marketing, including: Assisting in the development of media content for multiple media platforms.
o Creating toolkits, digital message documents that elevate PPWI and PPAWI.
o Assisting with digital donor strategy.
  • Drive strategy and execution for inbound marketing, digital advertising (organic and paid media), website development and design, user experience, and search engine optimization.
  • Support the continued buildout and expansion of a sophisticated digital organizing and mobilization program.
Team Leadership
  • Support community-based teams around events and new/expanded offerings.
  • Serve as point person for PPFA's digital communications team and work closely with national staff to create alignment between national and affiliate message goals.
  • Serve as agency spokesperson at coalition tables, including on new/emerging digital platforms and best practices.
Data Analysis & Technology Trends
  • Utilize data analytics to inform new and creative digital strategies, adjusting based on user behavior and performance metrics.
  • Advise leadership on digital communications/ marketing strategy and execution, including online metrics, user experience, search engine optimization, and digital content strategy.
  • Stay up to date on digital media trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and make recommendations to the department filtered through an equity and inclusion lens.
  • Other duties as assigned.
