BID/JOB ANNOUNCEMENT PROJECT MANAGER-BUILDINGS Chicago Department of Buildings (DOB) Division of License, Registration and Permits Number of Positions: 1 (Additional vacancies are possible pending budget approval) Annual Starting Salary: $96,516 These positions are open to the general public and to all current city employees covered under the terms of the City's collective bargaining agreement with the AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) - (BARGAINING UNIT #01, 03, 04, 05). Select your correct bargaining unit FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL RESULT IN A REJECTED BID APPLICATION Applications for this position will be accepted beginning 11-21-25 until 11:59pm on 12-5-25 Under supervision coordinates the review of architectural plans for small, medium, or large non-complex construction and renovations projects submitted for permit issuance in accordance with the Chicago Municipal Code and performs related duties as required. Location: 121 N LaSalle, 9th Floor (City Hall) Chicago, IL 60602 Shift: Monday-Friday Hours: 7:00a.m. to 3:30p.m. OR 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m. (Shift may vary due to the needs of the operation) THIS POSITION IS IN THE CAREER SERVICE Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering, plus at least three (3) years of professional work experience in managing building, architectural and/or engineering projects involving the review and approval of construction designs, or an equivalent combination of training and experience provided the minimum degree requirement is met.
