The University of Virginia School of Nursing invites applications to fill non-tenure-track, faculty wage positions to support undergraduate and/or graduate classroom instruction as Lecturer in Nursing. This position will focus on delivering course content, facilitating student learning and supporting academic success in alignment with the School of Nursing curriculum. Duties include preparing and presenting lectures or instructional material, grading assignments and exams; classroom instruction and simulation-based teaching student assessment and academic mentorship. The faculty will collaborate with course coordinators and other faculty to ensure consistency in course delivery and may participate in course planning meetings as needed. This role requires a commitment to high-quality teaching, responsiveness to student needs and adherence to academic policies and standards. A degree at themaster's or doctoral level in nursing or related field is required. Two years of teaching experience is preferred. Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching and mentorship. Applicants must be eligible for RN licensure in Virginia where applicable. To teach in the APRN program, applicants must be eligible for Virginia nurse practitioner licensure and have prescriptive authority and have national certification. Positions will be filled on an ongoing basis according to curriculum needs; the position will remain open until filled.
