Summary:

The Freedom Federal Credit Union Senior Learning Partner is responsible for supporting the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of organization-wide learning solutions. This role collaborates with leaders and subject matter experts to identify capability needs, create learning programs, and ensure training initiatives support organizational goals.

In addition to facilitating learning experiences, this role manages needs assessments, curriculum development, program coordination, and evaluation. The Senior Learning Partner serves as an experienced resource to business units, helping to ensure learning programs are effective, relevant, and engaging.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Learning Partnership
    • Serve as a learning partner to business leaders to identify development needs and recommend appropriate learning solutions.
    • Conduct needs analyses to understand performance gaps and determine suitable interventions.
    • Collaborate with leaders and internal teams to support talent development efforts.
    • Consult with stakeholders on role-specific or team-specific development needs.
  • Curriculum & Program Development
    • Design, develop, and update learning programs using adult learning principles and instructional design methods.
    • Build blended learning pathways and development programs for various roles and levels.
    • Ensure learning materials reflect current practices, policies, and regulatory requirements.
    • Improve existing programs based on learner feedback and performance outcomes.
  • Facilitation of Learning
    • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions for onboarding, professional development, leadership development, and skill-based programs.
    • Modify facilitation techniques to meet the needs of diverse audiences and learning styles.
    • Model effective facilitation practices and support others in developing these skills.
  • Evaluation, Metrics & Impact
    • Create and apply learning evaluation tools, including pre- and post-assessments and learner feedback surveys.
    • Analyze results to determine program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Provide recommendations to enhance program quality and learner outcomes.
  • LMS & Operational Responsibilities
    • Maintain accurate and current training records in the Learning Management System (LMS).
    • Coordinate with vendors and external partners who support learning programs.
    • Manage classroom logistics, materials, supplies, and setup for training sessions.
    • Lead or support learning-related projects with minimal supervision.
  • Professional Knowledge & Continuous Improvement
    • Stay current with trends in adult learning, instructional design, facilitation, and talent development.
    • Maintain awareness of regulatory and industry updates that affect training content.
    • Maintain understanding of Freedom's systems, procedures, products, and services.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Adult Education, Learning & Development, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in training, instructional design, or talent development.
  • Experience applying adult learning principles in virtual and in-person environments.
  • Experience developing multi-modal learning programs and materials.
  • Ability to use learning development tools and platforms such as Canva, Articulate 360 (Rise/Storyline), and other content-creation software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 required; experience with e-learning authoring tools preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple training projects simultaneously.

Interpersonal Skills

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations, and explanations with members, direct and indirect reports, and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating, and/or advising others on matters of significance.
