Security Officer - Government Armed Patrols

As a Security Officer - Government Armed Patrols in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing excellent customer service. This position is both armed and driving, requiring you to respond promptly to situations and interact professionally with the public. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report any suspicious behavior or activity observed during patrols.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential incidents.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while on duty.
• Assist law enforcement and emergency personnel as required, following established protocols.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
