JOB SUMMARY: The Vice President, Market Access will lead the development and execution of market access strategies to ensure optimal reimbursement, pricing, and patient access for the company's rare disease portfolio. This executive will be responsible for developing the organization's access, contracting, and product pricing strategies across all products within the portfolio. Responsibilities also include development and evolution of product value propositions, and stakeholder engagement across target markets. The role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in rare diseases, payer relationship management, strong cross-functional collaboration skills, and a proven track record of navigating complex reimbursement landscapes. #LI-REMOTE ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and lead comprehensive market access contracting and product pricing strategies for pipeline and marketed products in rare diseases. Will lead an internal contracting strategy committee and play a key role on the Product Pricing Committee.
- Oversee pricing, reimbursement, and health economics strategies to support product value and access.Lead assessment of industry trends and interpretation of global healthcare regulations and health care system evolution related to BioCryst's target markets. Anticipate trends and changes to align market access strategy.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key service providers (e.g. Specialty Pharmacies, Payers, Patient Advocacy Groups, Government Agencies, and HTA Bodies) to ensure providers and patients have access to BioCryst's products.
- Monitor and examine the national and regional payer policy status related to the Company's products and other competing technologies or procedures.
- Identify challenges and opportunities with payers and develop strategies to expand payer coverage.
- Lead the development of global value dossiers, economic models, and real-world evidence plans.
- Establish and maintain an adequate organizational structure and establish clear goals that align with the broader company objectives.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Commercial, and Clinical Development to align access strategies with broader business goals.
- Provide ongoing education and support to sales, marketing, finance and broader corporate team to ensure fluency in addressing market access questions and issues, and to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Deep experience in product pricing and payer contracting strategies for optimization of product life-cycle management.
- 15+ years of experience in market access, pricing, reimbursement, or HEOR, with at least 5 years in rare diseases.
- 5 years experience managing people managers in national leadership role in Market Access.
- Advanced degree in life sciences, health economics, public health, or related field (MBA, MPH, PhD preferred).
- Demonstrated success in securing access for rare disease therapies in major global markets.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Deep understanding of payer systems, HTA processes, and patient advocacy dynamics.
