Primary Care at Elkton provides comprehensive family care through a team of clinicians, including primary care doctors and nurse practitioners, who work closely with ChristianaCare specialists. They offer a range of services, including preventive care, diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses, chronic disease management, and sick visits and acute care. Elkton caters to children and adults at all life stages, ensuring a comprehensive and supportive approach to healthcare.

As a Medical Assistant I, you support physicians in virtual and on-site patient care, performing essential clinical and clerical duties to ensure quality care.

Work Schedule:

• Monday: 7am - 7pm
• Tuesday through Friday: 8am - 5pm
• No weekends or holidays

Duties / Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.

Position Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED required.

• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
