Position Highlights

The R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy at the University of Arizona invites applications for a full-time Lecturer to support the College's growing online master's degree programs. This position is based in Phoenix, Arizona and is not a remote position. This position is based in-person at the University of Arizona Phoenix Biomedical Campus. While instruction is delivered online, on-site presence is required for collaboration, meetings, and engagement with the academic community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging online instruction, supporting curriculum development and course content review, and mentoring students in the College's online graduate programs. This role is central to ensuring that our online learners receive the same rigorous and supportive educational experience as our on-campus students.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Deliver
    engaging, graduate-level instruction that aligns with course objectives
    and program learning outcomes.
  • Review, update,
    and develop online course content in collaboration with program faculty
    and instructional designers.
  • Hold regular
    virtual office hours and provide timely, constructive feedback and
    academic support to students.
  • Mentor online
    students to foster academic success and professional growth.
  • Abide by
    pedagogical best practices for online education and contribute to
    continuous improvement of online teaching strategies.
  • Participate in
    relevant faculty meetings, training, and program assessment activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in an academic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree
    or higher in pharmacology, biomedical sciences, or a closely
    related field.
  • Prior
    experience teaching at the graduate level strongly preferred.
  • Commitment to
    student-centered instruction and inclusive teaching practices.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching in an online or hybrid graduate program.
  • Familiarity with online learning management systems (e.g.,D2L/Brightspace, Canvas, Blackboard).
  • Experience with curriculum design and digital content creation for online learning.
